DISCOVER produces and distributes carefully calibrated, long-term ocean and climate data records. Derived from satellite instruments observing the microwave spectrum, these climate-quality measurements include: sea surface temperature (SST), ocean surface wind speed, atmospheric water vapor, cloud liquid water, and rain. Single-sensor data products are available from 1987 through the present in near real time. Multi-sensor, blended and gridded data products are also available via our easy-to-use display and data access tools. DISCOVER is a collaboration of Remote Sensing Systems (RSS) and the Global Hydrology & Climate Center (GHCC).
