Global Land Cover Facility

+ Visit the GLCF site

The Global Land Cover Facility is a science center focusing on land cover and land cover change research. Located within the University of Maryland Institute for Advanced Computer Studies, the GLCF is closely associated with both leading computational scientists as well as the Earth scientists in the Department of Geography. REASoN funding is focused upon development of EOS data collection delivery, visualization, and archiving, as well as the generation of global and local land cover data sets. Many users continue to access the large and free collection of remotely sensed imagery and derived land cover products made available through REASoN activities at the GLCF.
