SERVIR is a Regional Monitoring and Visualization System for Mesoamerica that intensively utilizes satellite imagery and other data sources for environmental management and disaster support.
SERVIR can be used by scientists, educators, and policy makers to monitor and forecast ecological changes, respond to disasters such as forest fires, tropical storms, floods, drought, and volcanic eruptions. SERVIR also provides user-friendly, interactive tools that geared towards students and the general public.
SERVIR is headquartered at Water Center for the Humid Tropics of Latin America and the Caribbean (CATHALAC) in the City of Knowledge, Panama. A test-bed SERVIR facility is located at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama
